Real Madrid have completed the signing of Liverpool right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold on a six-year deal.
The English defender will move to the Spanish capital when the mini transfer window opens on June 1.
Alexander-Arnold started from Liverpool’s Academy at the age of six and progressed through the ranks to the senior team.
He made his senior competitive debut in October 2016, and has garnered 354 appearances. The versatile right-back scored 23 goals for the club, as well raking 92 assists.
Arnold has also lifted nine major trophies with the Reds, consisting of 1 Champions League, 1 Club World Cup, 1 European Super Cup, 2 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cups, and 1 FA Super Cup.
The 26-year-old English international has been a full England international since 2018. He has featured in two World Cups (2018 and 2022) and one European Championship (2024).
On an individual level, he has been named in the FIFA FIFPro World 11 once (2020), in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season twice (2018/19 and 2021/22). He was also named in the Premier League All-Star Team three times (2018/19, 2019/20, and 2021/22), while winning the Premier League’s Young Player of the Year in 2019/20.
Alexander-Arnold will play with Real Madrid in the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States starting June 15.
He will joining the likes of Dean Huijsen and head coach Xabi Alonso, as new faces with the Los Blancos.
