Barcelona have moved a step closer to sealing the La Liga title after earning a comeback win over Real Valladolid.

Hansi Flick’s side won 2-1 against the league bottlers, as Raphinha and Fermin Lopez gave the Catalans a comeback win, after conceding an early goal.

Barca started the game with a much changed side, as they prepare for a Champions League second leg fixture against Inter Milan. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Marc Andre ter Stegen returned to the starting lineup.

However, the Catalans captain’s return turned sour as he conceded an early goal. Valladolid took the lead in the fifth minute as Ivan Sanchez’s deflected strike looped past ter Stegen.

The league bottomers maintained their lead to the break despite Flick giving an early introduction to Lamine Yamal.

Barca eventually gained control of the game with two quick goals in the second half to take the lead.

Raphinha picked up a rebound and smashed home on 54 minutes after Valladolid goalkeeper punched away Yamal’s cross

Lopez then gave the league toppers the lead as he drove a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner in the 60th minute.

Barcelona went on to win 2-1, extending their league lead over Real Madrid by seven points

Meanwhile, Madrid will hope to close the gap to four points as they face Celta Vigo on Sunday.

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona will be channeling their focus next towards their return leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal clash with Inter Milan.

The Blaugrana will be travelling to Italy for the decider, after securing a 3-3 draw against the Italians at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
