Real Madrid have announced the signing of 20-year-old defender, Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth, on a five-year deal.
Madrid reached an agreement with the English side over the transfer of the young defender, completing his deal for £50million.
Huijsen is expected to leave Bournemouth after the season ends to join the Spanish giants from June 1, 2025.
The young Spaniard has been instrumental for Bournemouth this season, and is been nominated for the Premier League Young Player of the Year award for 2024-2025.
The Cherries gave their goodbye with a classy statement, wishing the 20-year-old defender well on his next step.
“Everyone at AFC Bournemouth is looking forward to working with Dean for the remaining two games of the Premier League season, before he embarks on the next step of his career.”
Meanwhile, Huijsen came through Juventus’ youth before eventually progressing into their first-team, also having a stint on loan with Roma.
He then signed for Bournemouth in July 2024 from Juventus and enjoyed a breakout Premier League season.
Huijsen has made 34 appearances in total this season, helping Andoni Iraola’s side climb to tenth in the table.
The defender pledged his international allegiance to Spain in 2024, having moved from Netherlands at age five, with his family.
The centre-half has been capped twice with the Spanish national team, and has also featured at the U17 and U19 level with the Dutch.
As reported, Dean Huijsen is expected to play in the Club World Cup with Los Blancos.
