Thomas Müller played his last home game as a Bayern Munich player, as the hosts defeated Borussia Monchengladbach.
The German has been with the Bavarians since 2000, featuring in 750 games, with 248 goals and 274 assists, while also lifting 33 trophies.
Before the game, Bayern Munich fans paid tribute to Muller, as he was cheered with several banners at the Allianz Arena.
The supporters displayed a huge red and white tifo with pictures of Müller celebrating and lifting trophies. It was accompanied by his name in giant letters, and a banner above it saying, “For 25 years everything for our colors!”
Club officials also presented the 35-year-old Müller with a picture of himself with all the trophies he won with the Bavarian powerhouse.
A fan also held a placard reading “Muller for President” ahead of the Moenchengladbach fixture, showing support for the German.
Bayern, which clinched the Bundesliga title last weekend, won the game by two goals, courtesy of Harry Kane and Michael Olise.
Müller started the game for his 502nd Bundesliga appearance. He played until the 84th minute and was substituted with a resounding crowd applause.
He embraced teammates as he left the field, waving to the crowds, while Bayern substitutes formed a guard of honor for him.
Meanwhile, Müller joined Bayern as a 10-year-old from TSV Pähl, a small Bavarian club based to the southwest of Munich, in the summer of 2000.
He made his Bayern debut under Jürgen Klinsmann in 2008 and his breakthrough under Louis van Gaal the following season.
The German went on to make more appearances than any other player at Bayern, winning also a record 13 league titles, amongst others with the club.
He will be leaving at the end of the season, seeing of his 25th years at the club.
