In a chill West London derby at the Gtech Community Stadium today, Fulham did a spirited comeback to defeat Brentford 3-2.

The match began with Raul Jimenez heading Fulham into an early lead in the 16th minute, yet Brentford responded swiftly. Bryan Mbeumo leveled the score just six minutes later, and Yoane Wissa added another for the Bees shortly before halftime, giving them a 2-1 advantage.

However, the second half saw a determined Fulham side emerge. Tom Cairney equalized with a header in the 68th minute, and just two minutes later, Harry Wilson unleashed a curling shot from outside the box to secure a dramatic win for the Cottagers.

Brentford, despite a strong first-half showing with goals from Mbeumo and Wissa, couldn’t maintain their lead. The match was filled with attacking intent from both sides, featuring a saved penalty from Mbeumo in the first half, adding to the drama.

Ultimately, Fulham’s second-half surge, spearheaded by Cairney and Wilson, proved decisive, earning them a valuable three points and keeping their hopes for a higher league finish alive.
