Manchester United’s Carrington training ground buzzed with intensity all week as Ruben Amorim put the finishing touches on his side’s preparations for the Premier League opener against Arsenal.

After a summer of mixed results in pre-season, the Portuguese coach emphasized sharpness and tactical discipline in every session, knowing the Gunners would provide an early test of United’s ambitions.

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has issued his first team news update of the new Premier League season ahead of Sunday’s heavyweight opener against Arsenal at Old Trafford, Sixsports reports.

Amorim confirmed that Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee are fit again after missing pre-season through injury and are available to face Mikel Arteta’s side. The Portuguese coach also revealed that new signing Benjamin Sesko, who joined from RB Leipzig last weekend, could make his United debut.

Amorim told Manchester United media of the club’s plan ahead of the opener on Sunday.

“Nous and Licha are out, they cannot play,” Amorim told reporters at Carrington. “Josh recovered, Andre recovered, they are options for this game. We will see. Sesko is physically ready, he’s smart, he works hard, so yes – he’s ready to play.”

With Manchester United making significant summer moves and aiming to challenge for the Premier League title, all eyes will be on Old Trafford as Amorim and Arteta lock horns in a high-stakes opening encounter.
