Stuttgart crushed third-tier side Arminia Bielefeld 4-2 to lift the DFB-Pokal at the Olympiastadion Berlin.

Goals from Nick Woltemade, Deniz Undav and a double from Enzo Milot gave Stuttgart their fourth cup success in club history.

En route to the final, Arminia Bielefeld defeated three Bundesliga sides (Freiburg, Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen). However, they fell heavily to an attacking Stuttgart side, losing by three goals just inside 30 minutes.

Woltemade gave Stuttgart an early lead as the striker scored after 15 minutes. Having been set up by Angelo Stiller, the German international sent a low shot from the edge of the area past goalkeeper Jonas Kersken.

Millot doubled the lead just seven minutes later, finishing promptly from a counter-attack.

Stuttgart showed supremacy as they made it 3-0 in the 28th minute, courtesy of Undav, with Stiller again the provider.

The Bundesliga side then sealed the victory as Millot found the net once more in the 66th minute to put the contest to bed.

Meanwhile, Arminia Bielefeld fought back with a goal of their own eight minutes from full-time to console their travelling fans.

The third-tier league winner were awarded with a second goal as Josha Vagnoman netted an own goal three minutes later. However, the hope for a fightback was late, as Stuttgart ran off as winners.

The victory marks Stuttgart’s fourth-ever DFB-Pokal title and their first since 1997, where they also defeated a third division team, Energie Cottbus.

Despite finishing ninth in the Bundesliga this season, Stuttgart have now earned a place in the next season’s Europa League.
