Erstwhile Manchester United and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has declared that he’s in no rush to resume managerial duties, following his dismissal at Roma.

Mourinho has been linked to numerous coaching roles particularly in the Saudi Pro League and Premier League following his exit from Roma back in January.

In an interview with Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday, the Special One said he’s ready to wait until the end of the current season before getting aboard a new ship.

I’m ready to start, and sometimes when you end at a club, you feel the need for a rest, a think, to process things. In this case, one day after I left, I was ready to go,” Mourinho told Fabrizio.

“I feel strong, I feel good, I love the work. I’m really ready, but I don’t want to make the wrong choice. I cannot accept something just because of the feeling and pressure to be back. I need to be patient.

“Normally, it is very, very difficult to start in March or April, so my objective is to start in the summer.”

Mourinho won the Conference League with Roma in 2022, then reached the Europa League Final in 2023 before his dismissal. The Portuguese coach was replaced by Danielle De Rossi who has visibly improved the side’s poor run since his arrival.
