Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen grabbed a hat-trick as Napoli cruised to a resounding 6-1 win over Sassuolo to shake off their away matches struggles.
Although Uroš Račić put Sassuolo ahead within 16 minutes of the encounter, Napoli took total control of the game after the hour mark, as they completely outclassed the home team.
Amir Rrahmani equalized for the Partenopei in the 29th minute, before Matteo Politano set Osimhen up for two goals in the 31st and 41st minutes, as Francesco Calzona’s men took a commanding 3-1 lead into the break.
Barely two minutes into the second half, Osimhen completed his hat-trick, before assisting Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for Napoli’s fifth goal in the 51st minute.
The Georgian hammered the last nail in Sassuolo’s coffin in the 75th minute to complete his brace, as Napoli secured their first Serie A away win since November 2023, while Sassuolo remains in the relegation zone.
