Osimhen’s Agent Hints at Legal Action Against Napoli Over Video Mocking Striker

Roberto Calenda, Victor Osimhen’s agent has threatened to pursue legal actions against Napoli, after the club posted a video on their official TikTok account mocking the striker for missing a penalty in their last game.

Osimhen missed a chance from the spot late in Napoli’s draw against Bologna on Sunday before he was substituted and was seen protesting the decision by shouting at coach Rudi Garcia right before leaving the pitch.

Although the Nigerian international was said to have apologized to his coach and teammates for his behaviour, the video which has now been deleted has generated a handful of backlashes from football fans worldwide.

Reacting to the video, Roberto Calenda released a statement on X saying: “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”

As things stand, Osimhen has deleted nearly every single Napoli-related post from his Instagram, and the club hasn’t released any statement regarding this issue, as of the time of uploading this report.
