Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been diagnosed with an adductor muscle contracture ahead of Napoli’s Serie A match against Atalanta on Saturday.
According to the club, medical tests conducted on Kvaratskhelia after his return from international duty revealed a ‘strong adductor muscle contracture in his left thigh.’
Despite efforts to treat the injury with gym work and therapy, Kvaratskhelia is unlikely to be available for Napoli’s match tomorrow.
“Kvaratskhelia was visited and underwent instrumental tests at the Pineta Grande Hospital, which highlighted a strong contracture of the adductor muscle of the left thigh. The Italian striker has undergone therapy and work in the gym,” Napoli’s update on the Georgian read.
Napoli vs Atalanta will take centre stage at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday by 12:30 pm (WAT).
The Scudetto holders have received a massive boost with the return of Victor Osimhen from injury.
